January is Pruning Time
JANUARY IS PRUNING TIME!
Rose Garden volunteers began pruning season this year by hosting a day-long pruning clinic by Stephen Scanniello (President of the Heritage Rose Foundation) on January 12 at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Now it's time for us to get the job done.
We will hold our Pruning Party on January 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. we will have coffee and water and Anita plans to bring a pot of chili. Please bring anything else you prefer for lunch. Several eateries are within walking distance.
Wear warm clothing and bring gloves. Tools will be provided if you don't have your own. Rose Garden volunteers will assist newbies and show what to do. Please RSVP to Anita Clevenger (firstname.lastname@example.org) If it rains, we will postpone to the following Saturday as we do not prune roses when it rains.
We will also prune on Tuesday and Saturday mornings through mid-February
Please park on surrounding streets; access to vehicles on site is limited.
